Before your estimate
The visit takes about an hour, costs nothing and gives us the details to quote the job properly.
It watches the utility power. When power fails, it starts the generator in about 10 seconds and moves the house onto generator power. When utility power returns, it switches back and lets the generator cool down. It sits beside the meter or main panel.
Most homes here use propane. Your supplier sets or checks the tank and regulator, then we run a correctly sized line from tank to generator. On natural gas, the utility may need to upgrade the meter. We handle that request.
We look at the panel and meter, measure the path from the tank and choose a pad location at least five feet from windows and doors. Then we answer questions at your kitchen table.
After the visit
Your written quote shows the generator size we recommend, the installed price and exactly what that price covers.
